Planning a stagette party for a bride-to-be is a great way for the bride and her friends to blow off some steam and get a little wild before the big day. If you’re planning a stagette party, there are tons of great and original stagette party ideas.
Stagette Party or Bridal Shower?
There is a big difference here, a bachelorette party usually gets a little more wild and is also a girls night out event. A bridal shower is traditionally a more formal event. The stagette party is the girls version of the stag party. The bachelorette party has only developed as a popular event in the last 20 or 30 years.
While the bachelor parties are traditionally about freedom, getting drunk and going to the strip clubs for the guys, a stagette party is more about the bride-to-be bonding with female friends. Many brides do choose a night of frivolity, such as male exotic dancers and lots of booze. A general theme is usually about having fun and sharing the evening with great friends. When it comes to deciding on the Bachelorette party games, it is advised to involve the bride-to-be and find out exactly what she likes and enjoy doing. Start there, then look at your options based on her desires.
Bachelorette party locations
Stagette parties can take place at the home of the bride-to-be or the person throwing the party for her. A community hall can also be rented for the night, where you can bring all the alcohol, games, movies or entertainment you need. Hiring a limousine to get the group to and from places is also great idea for transportation. Restaurants often have private rooms that can be reserved for parties. Spa retreats have become quite popular as Bachelorette party themes. Enjoy a full day of relaxing facials, massages, hot stone massages and many other treatments. A nightclub is one if the more popular locations at the end of the night.
Some other great Bachelorette party games would be to get Exotic Dancing lessons. This is a little more on the wild side and would have to be something the bride would actually do. These classes are getting very popular and are popping up even in health clubs or can be done in a private home too.
Stagette party ideas : The Vegas Trip
When anyone talks about bachelorette parties, Vegas usually comes up at some point. The first thing that also comes up in this conversation is "How much is that going to be". This is probably considered by most as the big time for stagette parties. Why? Because everything goes there. There is a huge list of VIP services you can get for Vegas bachelorettes, everything from the most lavish tours to the dirtiest night you can imagine. Lets be a little reasonable instead... forget the dirty dives. When it comes to Las Vegas stagette party ideas, you will need a lot more lead time and planning. Getting the entire group to go is also tricky and needs some planning too. A Budget is also required for a larger group and the more group rates you can find, the better. You will need at least 00 + for each person , if you are flying there, if you are within driving distance, then your costs will go down. A typical weekend party starts on Thursday night, or Friday morning, to Sunday night. Most flight and hotel packages will be like this too. If your group can't afford it, then drop it, don't push it. If you can afford, it is a great time, do it. You can hire a VIP service to plan the entire trip, or just one day. You can also find great tour companies to get you into the best tours, night club or skydiving tours is just a start.
With any location or event you decide to do for the party, you can always supplement it with a theme. Start with an embarrassing outfit for the bride-to-be, a girls night out kit, beads and crazy glasses, the list is long, use your imagination. And if you don't have one, hit up a few party favor stores or some online shops for some other Stagette ideas. If you want to make it a full theme, then everyone attending will have to get dressed up in the same theme or outfit. You can rent them ( get insurance ) or make them yourself. It can be as cheap and simple as everyone wearing the same t-shirt, to full costumes.
Bachelorette party food
Planning the food for your the bachelorette party is not always necessary if you are going out to restaurants or clubs. However, if you are having a party at a private house, hall or meeting room, then you might need to plan the food and beverages to serve. You can have it catered, which is the easiest and least stressful to plan. Cooking and bringing all the food yourself is a little tougher, but still workable. You can even get a theme cake from local shops and stores, the list is endless. Make sure to arrange your alcoholic beverages and/or a bartender if needed.

I Can Do Bad All By Myself is a romantic comedy-drama film adaptation which was released on September 11, 2009. The movie was written and directed by Tyler Perry,and was inspired by Perry's play of the same name. The film centers on a selfish alcoholic named April who raises her sister's three kids and falls in love with a Colombian immigrant who works for her.
April (Taraji P. Henson), a selfish alcoholic singer, is performing at a nightclub where she works. On the other side of town, Madea (Tyler Perry) and Uncle Joe (Perry) catch Jennifer (Hope Olaide Wilson), Manny (Kwesi Boakye), and Byron (Frederick Siglar) breaking into their house. After hearing the children’s troubles, Madea welcomes them and feeds them. Jennifer tells Madea that they’re living with their Grandmother who they have not seen in four days. They tell Madea that their only other relative is their aunt, April. April shares her home with her shady boyfriend, Randy (Brian J. White), who’s married with children. The next morning, Madea brings the kids to April's house but April doesn’t want to be bothered. Meanwhile, Pastor Brian (Marvin Winans) sends a Colombian immigrant named Sandino (Adam Rodriguez) to her house for work and a place to stay. April puts Sandino in her basement and wants to lock him down there because she doesn't know him that well. While working around the house, Sandino surprises April by cleaning himself up and becoming very handsome. When Randy arrives, he sees April with the kids and Sandino and heckles him while making makes subtle advances at Jennifer.
Shortly after, Pastor Brian and Wilma (Gladys Knight), a church member, comes to inform April that her mother died from a fatal brain aneurysm while riding on a bus. April is devestated by the news and seeks comfort from Randy, however he is sleeping and shruggs off April's attempt to seek comfort. Later Sandino comforts April as she tells him about her mother's death and the last time she spoke with her. Depressed, Jennifer goes to Madea wanting to know how to pray. However, Madea, inexperienced with prayer, attempts to instruct in a scene that plays out comically. The same night, Wilma sings "The Need to Be", an uplifting song for women and Tanya (Mary J. Blige), the nightclub bartender, sings "I Can Do Bad". After singing the song, Tanya is fed up with April's attitude and tries to help her friend despite that she can't help April if she can’t help herself. Over time, Sandino and April become friends and Sandino fixes a ruined bedroom in her house making Manny and Bryon happy except Jennifer who feels April doesn't want them there. While on a date, Sandino tells April he doesn't understand why she is with Randy and askes if she loves Randy. He tells her what true loves is to him. One Sunday morning, Sandino eagerly knocks on April's bedroom door to get April ready for church, but Randy threatens to kill Sandino if he continues to spend time with April.

If you want to become a cop unfortunately you'll have to face the oral board panel. You see you'll have to answer questions like "why do you want to become a police officer" or what's your biggest weakness/strengths. Those type questions shouldn't be hard to answer at all. The questions that are a bit tough are the scenario base questions.
Here's a typical scenario base question that you'll have to articulate to the panel your next course of action.
Sample interview question:
Q. You are on patrol responding to a fight in progress. Dispatch informed you that the complainant indicated that one of the males involved in the fight is extremely intoxicated, and is refusing to leave the bar. You arrive at the scene known as Terry's bar and tavern. You quickly assess the situation and notice that the fight has stopped prior to your arrival.
As you turn to leave, you notice a male subject to be screaming and yelling at the bartender. You approach the male, and informed him that he had to leave. The male refuse your verbal commands and stood in a fighting stance, while advancing towards you with his fist clinched. what would you do next?
A. Unholster your firearm and shoot the male
B. Engage the male physically and hope that you win the fight
C. Disengage the situation and walk back to your car until backup arrives
D. Verbally instruct the male to stop walking towards you, and have your non-lethal weapon (baton or taser) in hand.
The correct answer is D. You must give the male subject clear verbal commands to stop advancing towards you before escalating to the next level of force. In this case, you would not be justified in shooting the man as you have other non-deadly options like a baton or a taser at your disposal to subdue male.

The police oral board is the nail in the proverbial coffin for many applicants. To be very honest with you I failed my first police oral board due to over confidence, and it was a wake up call to say the least. Peter Buchanan-Smith and the Urban Ax

The following year, Peter Buchanan-Smith began selling boards, his dog died, he and his wife separated and sold the house thought it would grow old in a large loss. In addition, he separated his business partner.

After Andy Spade, Brander, a businessman and husband of Kate Spade, enter one of the Partners & Spade, his quasi-gallery, in May 2009, design and media design bloggers trumpeted "authenticity" of this instrument, manly - and then was promoted largely as a work of art. This was irritating and comfortable for Mr. Buchanan-Smith, who says he is always worrying that it will be perceived as "just a few kicks from hipster chic design is old school to sell some tools for a myriad of other hipsters.

You really do not have to be a professional bartender to be able to mix original drinks, providing you use the appropriate tools for the job. You will certainly find some of the utensils listed below already in your home, and you can always improvise with everyday kitchen gadgets. If, however, you go shopping to stock up on bar equipment, the important feature to remember is that the utensils should be easy to clean, which is why stainless-steel items and glass are particularly suitable.
A cocktail shaker is an absolute must for your home bar. It is primarily used to mix drinks with ingredients that are difficult to combine smoothly, such as egg yolks, liqueurs, fruit juices, and cream. Any good bar-supply store will stock a variety of shakers and you are certain to find one to fit your budget and needs.
One standard version is a three-part shaker, which consists of a beaker, a lid, and a built-in strainer, to hold back pieces of ice and fruit pits or seeds when pouring the cocktail. Its disadvantage is that the strainer is very difficult to clean and the liquid pours out slowly. The two-part Boston shaker consists of a large stainless-steel beaker and a smaller one made of lead crystal, which fits inside and has the advantage that the glass beaker is also suitable for use as a mixing glass.
I find professionals usually favor a two-part stainless-steel or silver shaker because it is easier to close than the Boston shaker. When you use a two-part shaker or a mixing glass, you will need a round, stainless-steel bar strainer. This features an edge like a coiled spring, and it should fit exactly into the top of the shaker or mixing glass, making it indispensable when straining cocktails so ice and pieces of fruit or pits do not fall into the glass. If necessary, you can use a new tea strainer instead.
You will also need a mixing glass, sometimes called a shaker glass, for every drink which is stirred, not shaken, such as clear drinks and those made from easily blended ingredients. When shopping for a mixing glass, look for one with a capacity of about 1 quart (enough for 3 or 4 drinks). A long-handled bar spoon is a versatile tool used by bartenders to stir the ingredients in the mixing glass, as a measuring spoon to add the correct amount of ingredients to many cocktails, and to crush flavoring ingredients.
Most bar-spoon handles are 10 inches long and made of stainless steel or silver. At the top of the handle there is usually a disc called a muddler used to "muddle," or crush, pieces of I (mil, herbs, or sugar cubes. The spoon on the opposite end holds 1/6 ounces of liquid, or the same amount as a standard kitchen teaspoon. The rounded back of the spoon is also useful for slowly pouring layers of liqueurs into a glass when you do not want the layers to mix. A bar whisk is also useful for whisking and mixing.
A truly indispensable item for your bar is a double-ended bar measure, because exact quantities of ingredients are needed for making a drink. Also called a pony-jigger measure, these are usually made of stainless steel with a 1-ounce cup at one end, called a pony and a 1+1/2- to 2-ounce measure at the other end, called a jigger. When you go shopping, look for a measure with easy-to-read 1/4-ounce and 1/2 mince markings inside the jigger end. Alternatively, you can use a standard shot glass with markings on it. If you do not have either measure, use a standard set of kitchen measuring spoons-3 teaspoons, or 1 tablespoon, equal 1/2 ounce, 4 teaspoons equal 3/4 ounce and 2 tablespoons equal 1 ounce.

Speaking from experience behind the bar, basically it depends on the type of bar that you are working at. Always good to keep up to date, dont have to get it from a news paper though. Stay away from religion and politics. And being a guy, most customers came in asking for final scores, and who won what game, who are they playing next, who has been traded where... Just try and figure out what kind of people go to your bar and you should be fine

At a cozy neighborhood bar or lounge, the bartender is often referred to as the 'therapist' of nightlife. He or she prepares different drinks and serves them, and has a good relationship with customers and the public. Because of the situation, the bartender is usually the one who hears all of the problems or happy stories, and he or she has developed a certain wisdom with which to give advice.
At a more upscale establishment, the bartender will most likely work 'behind the scenes,' making drinks for customers while cocktail waitresses do the actual serving. Regardless of where a bartender works, a certain glamour and attention comes with the job. Some say this has a lot to do with movies and television.
Some bartenders learn how to do some amazing tricks with bottles, cocktail shakers, glasses and other things. This might definitely increase their chances of a tip, which is the major part of a bartender's income. Being a bartender is a fun job. While it can be very busy on certain nights or times, socializing and being close to the public is a favorite for most bartenders.
Individuals who become bartenders possess certain qualities that ordinary people don't. Since at times bartending can be quite hectic, a bartender must be able to continue working even if he or she is under pressure. A great bartending school such as ABC Bartending can really show a person how to accomplish that. They must also be able to think quickly, as individuals order drinks left and right.
Keeping up with who they're serving, who has paid for what, and knowing when to refill someone's glass is necessity. ABC bartending school takes people who have a special knack for talents like these, and shows them how to develop that into a great career. They are taught many different things, such as drink types and how to make them, information about different types of alcohol, and many other things.
To be a bartender, an individual needs a certain style and class. Dealing with massive amounts of customers without losing your cool is one part of being a great bartender. Despite chaos and confusion, a bartender must know the drinks that his or her customers are asking for, and be able to make them quickly. He or she also needs to know how to serve them with flair and elegance despite confusion.
These are just some of the things you can learn at a school like ABC Bartending. Advancing through the different courses conditions and individual to be able to handle any situation, and put his customers first. This ensures that the customers are happy, the boss is happy, and therefore, the bartender is satisfied. It doesn't hurt that a bartender with excellent skills and a great demeanor will quickly become a favorite and earn more tips.
ABC Bartending really is a great school if you plan on becoming a bartender. If you have a great presence, if you're quick on your feet, are able to think fast and get things done in record time, and also have an excellent personality, well you're a bartender in the making. ABC Bartending further develops these types of talents and creates some great bartenders.

Allan Hubbard is a man very much loved by thousands of South Islanders, but whose finance company Aorangi Securities is currently being investigated by the Serious Fraud Office. Despite this, thousands of passionate supporters marched in Timaru, flocked to defend him on the internet and some even complained to the Ombudsman. Well known for his generosity, his frugal lifestyle and his entrepreneurship, Hubbard is something of a folk hero and held in very high esteem.
This authorised biography tells his story by way of fascinating anecdotes - from his squalid childhood in the Depression as a child of alcoholic and abusive parents through to his successful businesses such as Mutual Group, Helicopters NZ, Scales Corporation and South Canterbury Finance. South Canterbury has been good to Allan and he has given back to the region on a grand scale, helping hundreds of young people onto farms, saving good farmers from bankruptcy and underwriting large-scale projects to bring water to the drought-prone region. How did Allan fall from being the wealthiest man in the South Island to having no money for groceries after his assets were placed under statutory management? And how did the 'most trusted man in New Zealand' come under investigation from the Serious Fraud Office? Whatever the outcome, this is a fascinating read about a Kiwi phenomenon.

3. Celluloid Circus: the Heyday of the New Zealand Picture Theatre
Long before DVDs, long before plasma screen TVs and home theatres, New Zealanders went out to escape and be entertained. In an often stuffily suburban little country at the bottom of the world, the local picture theatres were their places of dreams, where they went to see Garbo and Gable, Monroe and Hayworth. The movie theatre impresarios who ran Kerridge Odeon and Amalgamated knew all about romance and fantasy, building ever more grand picture houses, decking them out like the grand buildings of Europe, Moorish palaces and rococo shrines. It was all fakery, of course, but the crowds who lined up for the matinee screenings loved every contrived and elaborate inch of them.
Today most of those great places have gone, but for a generation of New Zealand memories remain of the velvet curtains, the ice cream boy at half time, standing to sing the National Anthem before each screening, the cartoons and more. Wayne Brittenden is the son of a movie theatre manager and grew up in Christchurch in the 1960s, when the picture theatres were reaching their apogee. It would not be long before TV knocked them for six.In this lively social history he talks to the few surviving projectionists and brings together a marvellous collection of over 150 images and pieces of ephemera such as movie posters and newspaper advertisements to take the reader back to that fantastical time. Such a history has never before been published and it is sure to appeal to movie buffs and nostalgia fans alike.

Wayne Brittenden is a New Zealand journalist who has worked overseas for most of his career. A former National Radio correspondent in Tokyo, he later worked for the BBC and now works as an independent documentary maker, based in London. He has done extensive research in New Zealand for this book.
4. No Ordinary Deal: Unmasking Free Trade and the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement
The Trans Pacific Partnership is no ordinary free trade deal. Billed as an agreement fit for the twentyfirst century, no one is sure what that means. For its champions in New Zealand a free trade agreement with the US is a magic bullet - opening closed doors for Fonterra into the US dairy market. President Obama sells it as the key to jobs and economic recovery, while protecting home markets. Australia's Prime Minister Kevin Rudd hails it as a foundation stone for an APEC-wide free trade agreement. None of these arguments stacks up. All eight participant countries except Vietnam are heavily liberalised, deregulated and privatised.* They already have twelve free trade deals between them. No-one really believes that US dairy markets will be thrown open to New Zealand, or that China, India and Japan will sign onto a treaty they had no role in designing. No Ordinary Deal unmasks the fallacies of the TPP. Experts from Australia, New Zealand, the US and Chile examine the geopolitics and security context of the negotiations and set out some of the costs for New Zealand and Australia of making trade-offs to the US simply to achieve a deal.
'Trade' agreement is a misnomer. The TPP is not primarily about imports and exports. Its obligations will intrude into core areas of government policy and Parliamentary responsibilities. If the US lobby has its way, the rules will restrict how drug-buying agencies Pharmac (in New Zealand) and the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (in Australia) can operate, and the kind of food standards and intellectual property laws we can have. Foreign investors will be able to sue the government for reducing their profits. The TPP will govern how we regulate the finance industry or other services, along with our capacity to create jobs at home. Above all, No Ordinary Deal exposes the contradictions of locking our countries even deeper into a neoliberal model of global free markets - when even political leaders admit that this has failed. *The US, Australia, New Zealand, Brunei Darussalam, Chile, Peru, Singapore and Vietnam

Professor Jane Kelsey teaches at the University of Auckland. Known for her exceptional research on political issues, she is the author of several books shaping the critical debate both locally and internationally. The New Zealand Experiment (AUP/BWB, 1995) struck a chord with its analysis of the 1980s political 'experiment', and went into several reprints.
